Opinions on Tannoy Sensys and Eyris speakers
(too old to reply)

I'm curious if anyone has bought or given a good listen to the Sensys
or Eyris line of speakers from Tannoy....especially in their latest
dual concentric versions. There doesn't seem to be much objective
information on them out there. Are these considered a step up or a
step down from Tannoy's discontinued Saturn series? I know that the
Eyris 3 got an unfavorable review from one audio magazine, while the
Eyris 1 got an excellent review from another.

Personally, I'm looking for a good center speaker to seamlessly match
with my Tannoy D500s. The very high price and non-availability of the
discontinued Tannoy D750 center will probably take that speaker out of
contention. My best alternatives seem to be the Saturn S8C center, or
the new dual concentric center speakers from the Sensys and Eyris
lines. I'd love to hear anyone's opinion on which one of these
speakers will match most seamlessly with Tannoy's Definition line.

Thanks,
Brian

Sensys and Eyris are trying to replace the Revolution and Saturns.
They don't sound as decent - it seems as if Tannoy is intent on
doing what JBL did years ago - split into a cheap mass marketed
imported line and have their premium line.

My take on this is - buy a Saturn S6C instead. It sounds nearly the
same as the S8C but costs less and is smaller.
